Behaviour Support School’s Opportunities

We have a number of posts available to be part of our Behaviour Support Provision based at Dorchester Primary School -

Teacher (Fixed Term until 31st August 2019)

Behaviour Support Lead - (Grade 7)

Behaviour Support Officer - (Grade 6)

Our Behaviour Support Schools are an exciting new provision in which as a trust we give a bespoke provision to children who find a mainstream classroom difficult to manage. The Dorchester provision will be to support children who have an underlying special educational need – possibly linked to speech, language and/or communication.

This is a wonderful and rewarding opportunity to join our exciting journey right at the beginning. Our Behaviour Support Provisions will reflect the ethos and values of HCAT and will involve working with some of our most vulnerable and challenging children. In return, we offer a high level of support and guidance, high levels of staffing (1 adult to 2 children) and a very unique career opportunity to try a different role and ultimately make a real difference to the lives of our most vulnerable children.

We are looking for colleagues who have a real empathy and understanding for what makes a child display challenging behaviour and can relate to the needs of children with individual needs.

Visits to our school are encouraged to look at the bespoke facilities which have been developed.

If you are interested in any of these posts, please kindly complete an Equal Opportunities Monitoring Form and either –

- the Teacher Application Form for the Teacher Role.

- the Support Staff Application Form for either of the Support Roles or

- the Expression of Interest Form if you already work within HCAT

and email to

Please also feel free to contact the Head Teacher, Gabby Olsson, on 01482 825207 for an informal discussion if you so wish.
